Design your dream board workshop
“Design your Dream Board” will help you craft a vision for your year, create an inspirational visual tool to inspire you to turn that dream into a reality.
It’s time to decide on what you want and get inspired to start making it happen today.
Well simply put it’s a collection of images on a board (physical or digital) that represent your dreams/desires/goals.
I use the word vision or goals interchangeably with dreams. I have noticed that something the word dreams seems scary or impossible. Like a daydream.
But I want you to own the word dreams, and to own your dreams!
Often in society we’re told not to dream, or being considered a daydreamer is a negative thing.
I believe dreaming and using your creativity and imagination to picture possibilities beyond our current life, situation or thinking, better ways to live or do things is in fact a AMAZING thing!
If you want to know more about making a vision board on canva, here’s one of my videos.
You can make a vision board on canva and upload it to you mobile phone as wallpaper or your tablet or computer.
You can cut images from magazine, or print them off from the web and stick these on a board.
You could stick images onto a wall or pin to a pin board, magnetic board or foam board and add new images when you feel inspired.
That way the board would be evolving with you over the year.
There is no right or wrong format, it’s all about what suits you best!
Over 7 years ago I was struggling with postnatal depression, worried about being made redundant on maternity leave – I got therapy but more than that I started to change my life. ⠀
⠀
I had to create a new dream for my life, then I had to connect to my reason WHY, my motivation to do it, finally I had to plan and execute!
Since then I went on to get my dream job as a swimwear designer for a top Uk retailer, I stayed home with my young kids, I got a job that fit my family, paid off a loan, travelled to Africa and South America with my kids and now created my own job I can do from home as well as It Starts With The Dream.
This is passion project where I get to inspire and help other women to create they dreams, overcome fear and doubt and take action towards their dreams! ⠀
Take the workshop
You’ll need two screens (or a laptop and a phone/tablet).
Watch the training on one screen and use the other screen/device to design your vision board during the workshop.
We’ll be using Canva to create the vision boards.
You can use another tool like Illustrator or even make a physical one live but if you choose that be ready with a printer and scissors to print and cut your images on the workshop.
Ideally come knowing your goals for the year, but if you don’t we’ll be working through some exersises and prompts that will guide our dreams and plans for the year.
The best setup is to take my course “Design your Dreams” beforehand so you can get clear on what you want from your life.
A 90 minute workshop to craft your dream board!
Stay accountable by taking in the moment action.
There is something powerful about seeing your dreams day in day out, represented in a. visual way.
You feel so much more connected to your goals and motivated to work towards them!
Your dream board should also serve as a guide or reminder of WHO you want to be.
To experience the dreams we have, it’s likely there are ways we will have to grow and develop our character, skills and beliefs.
Part of creating out boards will be encompassing the WHO we want to be, or really uncovering the WHO that’s already deep down.
Personally I don’t think a vision board is a magical unicorn that will make everything happen because it’s on a board.
To me it’s a powerful tool to inspire me each time I look at it. It reminds me of what I’m working towards, and the person I need to be.
Im so grateful to Jesus for everything I have that’s come true, especially the miraculous ones like getting our dream home.
I’m also grateful he made us with the capability to dream, have goals and make plans to work towards!
As it says in Habakkuk 2 in the Bible “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it”.
So a vision made plain and written down, put into paper means anyone can pick it up and figure the steps to make it happen.
This workshop was recorded live and a replay video accessible on the course platform Teachery.
A recorded workshop hosted on Teachery.
You will have ongoing access to the hub.
No there isn’t. I welcome folk who are committed to their dreams and will take action on what they learn.
This is a previously recorded live workshop. If there is enough interest then I will reopen my accountability and planning membership where we get together monthly and quarterly to plan our dreams.
No, this is not. I believe in Biblical principles for good living which may cross over. Concept like reaping and sowing, gratitude, praise, forgiveness and being mindful of your words and thoughts. Everyone is welcome. If you’re after a manifesting course then this may not be a great fit.
If you want to create an inspiring vision board to daily inspire and motivate and help you step into being the person who has your dream life this is ideal for you.
This is for your whole life from business/work, school, home, parenting etc.
