Hey, I’m Lucy. I now support women with their own personal development and becoming happier and more confident as well as managing anxiety, fears and limiting beliefs. I spend a lot of time with family, self-care and I also play the sport of bowls.
I used to suffer with mental health problems myself, I saw a counsellor that recommended the book “Finding Peace In A Frantic World” this got me into the world of personal development and improving my own mindset. I began learning as much as I could and adding it all into my life to improve how I was feeling. I now manage my anxiety and depression with personal development daily and have built my confidence and become so much happier. Once I had overcome these struggles I knew that it was my purpose in life to help women through the same struggles. I am now grateful that I went through these struggles as I can now use my struggles and learnings to help women when they need it most.
When starting this business I had doubts about whether I should as I still had mental health struggles and lacked confidence, I was still in my journey of personal development to where I am today. I didn’t believe I could be a successful business woman and I also had money blocks about believing I was worthy of money and could even earn money as a business woman.
Believing in myself and knowing the positive impact that I have on my clients. I have always had positive feedback from my clients and this built my confidence in the beginning. Now I have full belief in myself and know that I am impacting the lives of women daily.
Launching my membership site. I am so proud of all the amazing content in there. It is exactly what I needed when I was in my struggles and needed support. I feel so proud that I have created such a valuable and supportive place for women when they need it most. You can find it here https://succeednow.co.uk/mindset-mastery
Don’t compare your business and success to other peoples. In the beginning, I compared my business and judged myself, wondering why I didn’t have the same success as someone else without realising that they were 6 years ahead of me in their business. Your journey is your own so be proud of it. Follow your passion, stay focused and don’t compare your journey to others.
So important. I have daily goals that I use to keep me accountable in taking action daily, a lot of these are personal development habits to get me positive and motivated for the day. I then have weekly goals of the action I need to take in my business (blog posts, videos, collaboration etc) these move me towards my monthly and long term goals. I set new goals on the 1st of every month for the new month. I have my goals on the whiteboard in my office and on a memo on my phone to track it throughout the month.
Self-care is as important to me as brushing my teeth. It is part of every single day. I schedule it in and make it a priority every day. I believe the benefits are endless, it helps with your mood, relationships, work, social and home life and in so many ways. If you take away just one thing from this I would love for it to be to start making time every day to put yourself first.
Yes a few years ago I had severe anxiety and was referred to a counsellor who also diagnosed me with severe depression. Since then I manage it with personal development and have an hour long morning routine that I do every day to continue to manage my anxiety. This includes reading a personal development book, exercise, affirmations, journaling, visualisation and meditation.
You can read more about my morning routine habits here: https://succeednow.co.uk/the-best-morning-routine-for-a-productive-day/
Pick one or two personal development habits to get started with and commit to them. Make them a habit and part of your daily routine (it doesn’t have to be the morning) then as you get used to that add more into it. Figure out which ones you enjoy and stick with them.
